i love

"red carpet"

and it's 66th Emmys this time. here are my favorites in no particular order:

Heidi Klum in [of course] Zac Posen

Julia Roberts in Elie Saab Couture

 Julianne Hough
 Cat Deeley
 Luoise Roe in Monique Lhuillier
 Sarah Paulson in Armani Prive

Sibel Kekilli

2/17/14

i have seen

"les petits mouchoirs"

and of course it made me want to go to a little summer getaway with friends, and have some wine with fresh oysters.

3/24/13

i have seen

"the talented mr. ripley"
yes, i've seen it before but when a movie that i remember i loved starts to fade away in my mind, i want to watch it again. this is a great movie with its cast, scenes, music, costumes and italy of course.

2/20/13

i have seen

"paris"

a 2008 movie by cédric klapisch. i fell in love with the cast, colors and the music of this movie. juliette binoche (i'm in love with that woman), romain duris, françois cluzet...
since the trailer was not doing this movie the justice i just did not post it. don't let it fool you.

9/4/12

i have seen

"it's getting late by massy tadjedin"

even though i try to deny, the summer is over. the falling leaves, the colors around and the change itself are the only things that make me feel excited about fall. this short movie of Miu Miu is a nice welcome to the new season.

6/13/12

i love

"balmain"

and this short film for 2012 spring summer is so nice. abbey lee and her band our mountain is in it.

i have seen

"mona lisa smile"

yes, it is not a recent movie. not a classic either. yet, the characters, images and the costumes made me like it a lot. especially maggie gyllenhaal and julia stiles. they are -as always- so beautiful and strong.

2/29/12

i love

"the red carpet"

more than the awards, what really made me excited with the academy awards was the parade of gorgeous gowns. late but here, these are some of my favorites:

michel hazanavicius was amazing with his gucci tuxedo and of course- his oscars!

they are always amazing as a couple, yet if there was no "here is-my-leg-posture" it would be better.

lovely michelle williams with her silk louis vuitton gown.

i loved loved loved emma stone in red giambattista valli.

and kristen wiig in j. mendel! it was stunning.

at first i had my doubts but at last i really liked sandra bullock's marchesa gown. still, not sure if it's the best fit for her age and body.

cute as hell! steven spielberg.

2/19/12

i have seen

"annie hall"

i don't like the early movies of woody allen, where he always puts himself in the movie one way or another.  it's not that i watched many of them, but still. i have to admit that i don't really like woody allen as well. it's that thing when you don't like a person, but like his/her work. gets quite confusing. thinking about my love towards some of his quite recent movies like matchpoint or vicky cristina barcelona; i thought i should give it a shot. with the help of my adoration towards diane keaton, i watched it. i liked it, too. especially naturally beautiful & radiant annie hall and her style.

2/18/12

i have read

"the bell jar"

it is intense and smooth at the same time. keeps you in the "jar" the whole time, and lets you out when it wants to. simply put: work of art!

ps: i haven't seen it, but there is a movie about sylvia plath also: Sylvia. looks interesting.

1/17/12

i have seen

"io sono l'amore"

it is a 2009 movie and i haven't seen it recently but i remembered that i did not post anything related to that great movie. i may watch it again soon, not only because it was great, but also because i want to see some italy. it has been a while since i watched a movie, set in italy. i missed it.
the scenes are awesome. tilda swinton is, of course, at her best. and the costumes! ah! just great.

attenzione: if you'll watch it, i highly recommend you to do so with a bottle of cold, white wine by your side. and another one in the fridge.

9/4/11

i'm listening

"transmission"

by joy division.

recommended tracks: transmission, she's lost control, love will tear us apart

i also liked watching the movie "control". highly recommended!

8/20/11

i have seen

"closer"

for the 8th time. i missed watching it. it makes me feel things that i would not dare to feel. it makes me bold in saying things to myself, that i would be scared to say. confronting yourself is harder than anyhing.
